Lana Awada

University of Saskatchewan

Lana holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics, MSc. in Business & Economics, and BSc. in Commerce. Lana’s research interest is in the development and adoption of sustainable innovations for global food security. Her research draws on theories from agricultural production economics, behavioural economics, and political economy. Lana’s research has focused on the measurement and analysis of the distributional impacts of agricultural innovations and policies, consumer preferences and food choice behavior, the contribution of agricultural practices to greenhouse gas emissions, and the potential impacts of digital agricultural technologies to mitigate emissions and improve productivity growth.
