Lingling Jin

Assistant Professor
Department of Computer Science, University of Saskatchewan

Lingling Jin received her PhD degree in Computer Science specialized in Bioinformatics from the University of Saskatchewan in 2017. Previously she was a postdoctoral fellow with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. She is currently an assistant professor of Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan and adjunct professor at Thompson Rivers University. Her primary research interest is in computational modelling biological systems to understand their interactions and evolution by using highly efficient computation, with a specific attention on models and algorithms for genome rearrangements, duplications and transposable elements to advance our understanding about their genetic linkage to phenotypic diversification and evolutionary innovation. Her research is supported by NSERC, P2IRC, CFI, WGRF and Genome BC.
